Brooke Fahey scores armbar win in superfight at Men of War 1
Although she is only 17, Brooke Fahey of Wantage, NJ has already made a name for herself in the local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu scene through her performances at BJJ tournaments and superfights. She got another chance to build on that reputation as she took part in the inaugural Men of War event at iPlay America in Freehold when she took on Rachael Penkowar in a No-Gi superfight.
Penkowar is an experienced grappler in her own right, with many wins in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well as a perfect record as an amateur mixed martial artist, and looked to establish her game with a takedown. With the fight on the ground, however, Brooke was able to lock up her guard and begin working with her dangerous array of guard attacks. After securing a tight grip on Penkowar’s right arm, Brooke worked her legs up to lock on a high body triangle for Dead Orchard. With a quick adjustment to her angle Brooke isolated Penkowar’s right arm and extended for the tap at 1:47.
