Miller Brothers MMA & Fitness’ youth martial arts students, the Big and Little Spartans, capped off a busy run for the MBMMA family with a strong showing the Good Fight New Jersey Open. Four students competed in the competition, combining to take part in 9 divisions and taking home as many medals. Eric Wittrien and Caitlin Frey were twice placed in the same bracket, with each finding their way to first place once. Eric topped the podium in No-Gi while Caitlin took silver, with Eric adding a bronze medal in Gi as Caitlin took top honors. Caitlin also was asked to compete up a division in Gi where she once-again won the gold medal. Caitlin’s younger siblings, Kristin and Connor, both had perfect records at the event, earning wins in both the Gi and No-Gi divisions.

Following up on the successful tournament, the young martial artists returned to the gym last week and were rewarded for all the hard work with promotions from their coach, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Mike Pagano. Eric (Grey & Black, 1 Stripe), Caitlin (Grey, 2 Stripes) and Kristin (Grey & White, 3 Stripes) all received new stripes from coach Mike.
Congratulations to all four students, everyone at Miller Brothers MMA & Fitness is proud of you.
