Miller Brothers MMA & Fitness Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai coach Jim Fitzpatrick continued his winning ways inside the MMA cage at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 65, when he defeated Bobby Malcolm by unanimous decision. After three hard-fought rounds, coach Jim got his hand raised as he used both his striking and grappling to earn the judges’ favor.

The first round was an even affair, with both men scoring on the feet, and a late takedown by Jim near the end of the round. Jim continued to build on that momentum in the next frame as he cut Malcolm with a punch on the feet before shooting in for the takedown. Once on the mat, Jim didn’t let Malcolm escape as he worked his opponent over with ground-and-pound from on top.

In the third round, both men knew they would need to put their stamp on the round to be sure of winning the bout, and Jim quickly went to work to put Malcolm on the defense. After a shot by Jim led to Malcolm’s back being on the fence, Jim hit a lat drop to attain side-control and begin working from on top. Although Malcolm would escape to the feet later in the round, a failed shot by Malcolm allowed Jim to again press him into the cage, where he closed the fight out hammering Malcolm along the fence to make the outcome certain.

The win improves Jim’s record to 3-1, and maintains his unbeaten record since his return to MMA with the Miller Brothers MMA fight team.

Elsewhere on the card, Frank Wallace took on a very tough Zulkarnaiyn Kamchybekov. Although both men put on a great show, the judges gave the decision to Kamchybekov, dropping Frank’s record to 1-1.

Next up for the Miller Brothers MMA fight team will be Tyler Bayer and Cristian Santos in kickboxing bouts at Dead Serious Kickboxing on June 24.
