Congratulations Coach Jim Fitzpatrick, the newest BJJ Black Belt instructor at Miller Brothers MMA
The Miller Brothers MMA & Fitness Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coaches spent Saturday afternoon attending a seminar in honor of Professor Jamie Cruz, and there was a surprise waiting for one of them at the end – coach Jim Fitzpatrick was awarded his Black Belt from Professor Brian McLaughlin. Jim has been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2007, training under some of the best instructors available in the sport including Professor McLaughlin and Miller Brothers MMA’s head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Professor Sean “Shorty Rock” Santella. Professor Santella was joined at the seminar by the Miller Brothers, Dan and Jim, as well as fellow Black Belt Mike Pagano who welcomed Jim in as the sixth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt on the Miller Brothers MMA & Fitness coaching staff.
The day also served as an opportunity to honor Professor Cruz, who has had such a wide range of influence on the local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu scene, including awarding the Miller Brothers and Shorty their Black Belts.
Everyone at Miller Brothers MMA & Fitness would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to Coach Jim for the much-deserved promotion and we look forward to seeing the new belt out on the mats teaching and training every week!
